We are W Wine school - the wine school in Israel. Israeli representative of the WSET International School.
The school was founded in London in the late sixties and currently exists in eighty countries around the world. Every year, the school certifies thousands of graduates at different levels of knowledge through instructors certified by it. The school has unique methods and techniques that have been developed over the years for understanding the world of wine, diagnosing wines and tasting wine. There are several study tracks that are ranked from easy to difficult.
In Israel, we offer several study tracks:
Certification course for "level 2" level -
A course of five sessions of four hours each or seven sessions of three hours each.
In this course we will learn the wine tasting method, grape varieties, main wine regions in the world, wine production styles, compatibility between food and wine, reading labels, understanding principles that affect wine.
We will taste about forty wines from around the world. No prior knowledge is required.
Course cost: NIS 2,900
The courses are held in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem and Be'er Sheva.
Professional course certifying to "level 3" level -
A forty-hour course, ten sessions of four hours each.
In this course we will learn the method of wine tasting, compatibility between wine and food, reading labels, understanding the principles that affect wine, types of grapes, wine production styles, main wine regions in the world, influential production countries, sparkling wines, alcohol and liqueurs.
We will taste about seventy wines from around the world.
Suitable for Ramat Level 2 graduates, or who must pass an entrance exam. Course cost: NIS 5,100
The course takes place in Tel Aviv and Haifa.
Level 3 Kosher in Jerusalem -
The cost of the course is NIS 5,400, of which we charge a registration fee of NIS 1,000 to guarantee the place.
The price includes the study and exam materials that are sent from London.
Level 2 course graduates who studied at W are entitled to a 10% discount on registration, i.e. 4860 NIS.
Terms and comments:
1. The registrant who wishes to cancel his participation in the course must notify this by email no later than three weeks before the start of the course. In this case, the payment of the registration fee will be returned to the registrant.
2. In case of cancellation of participation less than three weeks before the start of the course, the registration fee will not be refunded and this must be notified in a letter by email. If a registered student wishes to postpone studies after completing the registration and up to three weeks before the start of studies - free of charge. Notification of a subsequent postponement will bear a cost of NIS 500.
3. A student who stops his studies at any stage, even after only one course - will be charged the full tuition fee.
4. In the case of a repeated check, you must pay a handling fee of NIS 30.
5. Condition for receiving a certificate - a theoretical summary test must be passed at the end of the studies. In the level 3 course - includes a theory test as well as a tasting test of two wines.
6. The exam forms are ordered two weeks before the exam date. An examinee who wishes to change the date of the exam is asked to update no later than two weeks before the day of the exam. In the case of an examinee who was ordered to take an exam but does not take the exam on the scheduled date, changing the exam date will cost NIS 100.
7. An examinee who did not pass the exam will be allowed to take a repeat date at a cost of NIS 250 for a level 2 exam or NIS 250 for a level 3 theoretical exam. Level 3 tasting exam at a cost of NIS 180.
8. If a student needs special exam conditions, the course staff must be notified before the course begins, so that the request will be checked with the school in London.
9. At the beginning of the course, each student will be provided with a copy of the appropriate course specification.
10. If a student misses a class, it can be made up in the corresponding courses based on available space and with advance notice only.

Note: The school reserves the right to cancel or postpone the opening of the course if the number of registrants does not justify its existence. In case of course cancellation, the registration fees are fully refunded.
